At Umami we take the quality of our coffee drinks very seriously. Our espresso beans are roasted by Union Coffee Roasters, the UK' s top artisan roaster, who work directly with smallholder co-operatives and family farms, allowing them to source coffees of an exceptional quality. Union contributes to sustainability by paying a premium for their coffee and building long-term relationships with farmers. Union's decaffeinated blend has been decaffeinated by the Swiss Water Process in British Columbia, Canada and retains an outstanding level of flavour rarely found in decafs. Umami produce outstanding espresso by using only state of the art traditional espresso machines, hand crafted by La Marzocco in Florence, Italy and grind-to-order espresso grinders, which ensures the coffee is as fresh as possible, being ground within seconds of extraction. All our baristas undergo training with Union Coffee Roasters and have hands on experience with Santa Fe Coffee Company.
